A solution to revolutionize the way live events are created, managed, and streamed
About.
We’re building an end to end internal system to meet the needs of everyone from decision makers to those on the ground floor by automating processes, building in communication, in-app event scheduling, and data analytics. This solution is not only changing the game for the live events team at Paramount, but by cutting operating time in half its saving the business time and resources for years to come.

Where We Started:
Untangling systems, processes & dependencies from a years old legacy system
The biggest hurdle we faced was clarifying everything and everyone needed in the current process. Over time, a patch work of systems had been added to address one problem or another in the live event workflow- ending up with countless unknown dependencies, unnecessary manual entry, and time consuming problem solving.
The nuts and bolts of event creation is organization and consolidation
There’s a lot that goes into a successful stream ranging from partner distribution approvals and video configurations- figuring out what needs to happen when, what depends on these actions, and who is doing these actions allowed us a path forward.
Iterative design and Building flexible to scale
A large portion of the fields being used in the legacy system were outdated and no longer in use. We revamped the event, league, and team creation process and as it got smaller it brought us toward a creation modal. As we let in more isolated control and decision making the groupings grew- the balance has been how to keep it streamlined while allowing access and control when needed.

The Future - Partnerships and Integrations
We’ve already integrated with sister platform CBS Sports and our internal Site CMS, but in the future we’re building an image repository as well as a universal platform for all content IDs. These integrations will allow us to more quickly and accurately pull data and images into our system. In addition, improving processes that affect not just us but teams like our content creation team by finding ways to automate image creation.
